What better time to write my first post than right now? !!! 🙂

Two weeks ago, I was hanging out with my closest friends at some fine watering establishments in Wrigleyville, Chicago and at our annual 4th of July weekend extravaganza in our cabin at the Wisconsin Dells. My close friends were more than surprised when they found out that I still don’t have an mp3 player or download music – being that I used to be a saxophone meastro, rocked out in a band in college, and continue to write and play guitar in my spare time.

It would be safe to say that music is somewhat of a passion of mine. I like to think that I have an influential taste in music and I think my friends recognize that. Couple that with the fact that I’m a internet supergeek, I guess I could understand why it would seem odd that I haven’t joined the digital music revolution.

That is… until now! My girlfriend, Paula, is killin’ it at her job, so she just bought me an mp3 player! It is pretty damn cool and I foresee myself using it a helluvalot. It is the Creative Zen MicroPhoto and I love it. I’m also very proud of Paula’s choice of product. I couldn’t have done a better job, myself… and that is saying a lot! 😛

She also bought one for herself, along with FM transmitters for each of us. How was I living without this! I’ve already loaded a bunch of music, but I’m most excited to download podcasts from Webmaster Radio so that I can listen to them during my drive to and from work. Yeah… Internet supergeek!

Thank you so much, Paula!

On another note, I have a bunch of other internet side projects going on right now… some are confidential and others I may write about later.

One of the things I’ve been meaning to do is to revamp this site. You can view the old version here.

After pondering about it for awhile, I ended up creating a whole new site at cKandPaula.com.

After doing that, I immediately knew that I wanted to turn this site into my personal blog… So, I decided that this is the weekend that I would dedicate to whip up this little project!

I’m going to be messing around with the design, so when you come back, the site may look a bit different. I’m not going to concentrate too much on usability or anything professional or commercial like that. Just as the headline says, this is my “playground” where I will simply be messing around.

I will be using this arena mainly to post random things. Much like an online idea book or scratch pad, per se.

The majority of my posts will definitely not be as long as this one. Most will probably be a couple of sentences. Some will probably not even make sense to anyone other than myself. Others will probably not even make sense to myself. That barely even made sense.

Anyway, if you stumbled you way over here, please feel free to comment and let me know what’s up!

Piece,
