My Pursuits

My work and passions that I spend the majority of my waking hours on.

Functional SEO Consulting

I began messing around in online marketing during my college years. After graduating with a degree in Organizational & Corporate Communication in 2003, I’ve had the pleasure of developing my craft with award-winning agencies and a global conglomerate, performing SEO for websites from the local business level to the worldwide brand level.

My experiences led me to branch off on my own, and I have been optimizing businesses to a state of WEBOSIS since 2007.

Functional Health Advocacy

I am utilizing my knowledge and experience in marketing to start up Evothrive, under which I am developing #NETT90 – a program based on a synthesis of evolutionary biology, positive psychology, and behavioral economics that is intended to spread awareness of our innate physiological capabilities and enable people to easily realize their health potential.

Botanical Supplements

I’m a partner in a botanical supplement company called Super Speciosa. We are on the forefront of providing the highest quality, lab-tested, plant-based supplements to support health – we currently carry kratom powder, kratom capsules, and CBD products. Our botanicals are 100% natural and every batch is held up to our strict, industry-exceeding testing protocols.

Semi-Functional Soccer

I play soccer at a elite-amateur/semi-pro level with Buena Park FC and train with professionals occasionally. I’m the oldest player on my team by over six years and exceed the average age by over a decade. Even so, I’ve been the most consistent player, I’ve recorded the most games played, and I’m among the top goalscorers.

I’ve also taken to trail running and participate in races from time to time, in which I regularly win my age group.

Strategic Advising

I like to apply my marketing experience, web skills, health knowledge, and business acumen in various ways to help causes I care about. These include organizations in the realms of health, education, and sports. I may receive compensation for some of these efforts, but many are non-profit ventures that I volunteer my time to.

I’m also a member of a think tank called ProdigyWorks where I contribute in select innovation brainstorming projects, which include developing research insights and collaborating with other Prodigies to help bring outside thinking to companies, brands, and organizations looking to tap into a diverse global network of high-level outside thinkers. We solve complex problems, create disruptive innovation and name new products for some of the world’s best-loved brands and a range of leading CPG, food & beverage, tech, healthcare, and financial services companies.

A Little Bit About Me

I am a first generation Korean-American. I was born in the great Chicagoland.

I grew up in Plainfield, Illinois where I made a name for myself playing soccer at the original PHS. I graduated in 1998 and went off to play NCAA Division-1 college ball at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa while trying to study Information Systems and International Business. I eventually ended up in DeKalb, Illinois where I graduated in 2003 with a degree in Organizational and Corporate Communications at Northern Illinois University.

After college, I moved to Southern California where I began my career in online marketing. I became my own boss in 2007. Today, I strive to do work in marketing and functional health that will make the world a better place. I currently live in Orange County with my girlfriend, who I’ve been conspiring with since 2009.

My Other Interests

What I’m likely to be doing when I’m not trying to save the world.
