Food Protocol

I prefer to get my nutrients from real food. I would say I know the ingredient quality of 98% of the food I consume. Most of my meals are made at home, and if I dine out, I try to do a bit of due diligence on the food quality (though if it can’t be helped, I don’t stress about it).

These nutrient dense whole foods are a staple of my diet:

  • Avocados
  • Bell peppers
  • Berries
  • Cruciferous vegetables
  • Eggs
  • Garlic
  • Leafy greens
  • Liver
  • Mushrooms
  • Nuts
  • Oysters
  • Sardines
  • Seaweed
  • Tomatoes

The plant-based foods I consume are generally organic. The animal-based foods I consume are generally grass-fed and pasture-raised. The fish-based foods I consume are generally wild-caught.

I try to eat one serving of liver and oysters every week. I eat all of the other foods several times a week, if not every day.

Other real food staples in my diet include bone broth and kimchi.

My girlfriend and I used to purchase whole butchered hogs and steers before better options came along. Today, we get our dinners from Marley Spoon and Sun Basket.
